Nina is a seasoned trusts and estates attorney with over thirty years of experience counseling families on estate planning and trust and estate administration. Clients who have children with special needs also rely on Nina to plan the secure financial futures of their special needs children, including preparation of supplemental needs trusts and the appointment of guardians. Nina works closely with clients in implementing tax effective and practical estate plans. When someone has passed on, Nina guides the executor in administering the decedent’s estate and planning for the next generation.

Nina has been a member of the New York bar since 1982. She graduated from Boston University School of Law where she was an editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. In addition, Nina is a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University, where she was on the dean’s list, and is fluent in French. Nina is currently a member of the Estate and Trust Administration Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Irene Heicklen

Irene received her bachelor’s degree from Pace University. She has worked in the trust terminations department of a major New York City bank and as a fiduciary accountant for large and mid-sized law firms. Irene has worked with Nina for over twenty-five years and is currently providing fiduciary accounting and bookkeeping services for various firms in the New York area, including the Silfen Law Group.
